How does one actually start their own film company? Is it a regular business license and then do you patent a logo/name? Where do register or license? Thanks

In the UK you just set it up as you would a normal company, but if you are serious about the company, you might want to get a limited liability company to protect your own assets.
In the UK there is a category for Motion Picture and Video Production when setting up your limited company.
