"Handi" Cams only make it ugly, choppy, and the focus can't be touched.

The DCRVX2100 is a nice 3 CCD camera with a fair - but not very good - lens and small, but adequate, CCD?s. The image you get will not look like a REAL movie shot on 35mm film but if you light your sets properly, you should be able to do a little better than some cheap porn.

It?s a system developed by Panasonic for their AG-DVX100 Mini-DV camera that allows the video camera to mimic film as you shoot as opposed to adding film look during post. The Sony camera you mention does not have it.
