I recently filmed a football match. I was under the assumption that in order to capture the fast moving ball action etc, I would need to set the shutter speed higher than usual. I was using a Canon XHA1, and set the mode to shutter speed priority, and set the shutter speed to 1/1000. The match looked great through the viewfinder, and fantastic whilst viewing it directly from the camera onto a HD tv through a component connection.
I captured it to my computer (using Sony Vegas 7) (project settings:
-HDV 1080-50i (1440x1080, 25.000 fps)
- Pixel aspect ratio = 1.33333)
When the camera moves, following the action, the video 'ghosts' (like shitty tft monitors). I assume it is because I used a high shutter speed that this is happening. Any ideas how to rectify it?

cheers mate, I'd appreciate it.
Couldn't figure it out. Tried instead to capture in Avid, and it seems fine. How strange.

A real life mystery. Maybe someone will make a film about it one day.
Then again, maybe not.
