I'm looking at starting off making a short or small documentary and will have little to no budget other than that used for purchasing the camera and some stock for it (mini-DV tapes)
I have about $550 right now and will probobly only be able to afford a camera that is under $1,000
what I want:
Good picture quality, with the ability to shoot in 4:3 and 16:9
3 CCD's of no less than 1/6" each
audio input for a boom mic
LCD flip screen
the ability to sync all the taped data to my computer (MAC or PC)
and the ability to put some upgrades on (like attach a shotgun mic and add lens hood)
I won't probobly undertake this until next summer, giving me time to write my script and save some more money for equipment and mainly wait for the purchasing of my new computer which will happen around mid-late next summer. (macbook or very sooped up Laptop PC)
I just really want to start shooting.
