Hello!

Ive been reading this forum for a while now and i first want to say what a great resource it is for beginners like me.

I have completed my first short film last night using a mobile phone for a camera!! (no money for proper Cam yet), Vegas and Cubase for the audio. What a buzz i got when it was finished.....im hooked!

Anyway, its only 30 secs long but at present it is 120MB and id like to put it on Youtube or somewhere so i can get some feedback from you all. How can i reduce the file size so i can host it or will Youtube accept files this big??

Thanks in advance.

M

Youtube will accept files that big if you have a director profile(I believe?).

Well you could compress it on an editing program like Vegas.

Oh and by the way Own3dStudios, thats the best film "saying" I've seen so far.

You can definitely go over 10 minutes, because I watched a 39 minute banjo lesson on youtube yesterday.

It was recently changed so no one, including directors, could post films over 10 minutes.
However, videos posted before this change were sometimes over ten minutes/100 MB

You don't have to put it on youtube,m you can put it on archive.org, you have an unlimited space on there for free.
