Screenwriting Goldmine. Tell them Kurt sent you! ?:D?
Seriously, everyone who joins it loves it. It's got pros, semi-pros, and wannabes like me. What they don't know there, isn't worth knowing.

I highly suggest you read every page at http://www.wordplayer.com for advice from WORKING Writers who KNOW the ins & outs of the professional industry.
Remember, Writers write. Feedback from others can help, but spend more of your time actually writing than commiserating with other Writers who may or may not be making a living as Writers.

Yeah the WordPlay columns are simply fantastic. Relatively old resource, but still ridiculously informative.

Brian, is that site still operating? I tried to access it many times and got a "connection" problem.
Kurt.
Well, even i'm not able to access www.wordplayer.com.
I live in india and an aspiring filmmaker. I closely follow this forum and it is very informative.
I have come across www.wordplayer.com in this forum many times, mentioned as one of the best sites for script writers and filmmakers. So i tried to access it, but sadly i couldn't access the site for some reason. Please let me know if there is any problem.

Wordplayer.com is up and running. I was there last night and again this morning (NYC time). Is it possible that your ISP has some filtering or blocking that could prevent? I know India isn't China (they can't access more than half of the sites outside China), but could there still be some blocking? If you can access any of the anonymizer proxy sites, you may want to try through them.

Sorry for the issues with Wordplayer. I had an issue with access some time ago... it had to do with MY use of Frontpage at home and somehow THEIR server recognized it and was blocking my access (out of fear that I was a hacker or something).
If you are having issues accessing Wordplayer.com, I'd advise you to contact them and let them know what's going on. It may be an issue that they can resolve.
It is a truly amazing resource and that it is offered for FREE is an extra bonus. I would gladly pay them for the information they have there. It is worth the time to get on their site.

To anyone who can't access the WordPlay resource, if you would like to contact their webmaster I would be okay with PMing the contact info. It's freely available here ( http://www.wordplayer.com/siteinfo/feedback.html), but if you can't access it I could maybe send it.

That's very good of you, Corax. What info would I need to give you?
Kurt.
I'll send you a PM right now Kurt, I'm just copying the info from their site.
EDIT: AH, I understand: filmmaking.net doesn't have Private Message support. I'll copy it to a free webpage.
Here we go, ?url="http://mazproductions.googlepages.com/copyofwordplaysiteinfo"?the copy of the WordPlay contact info for those who have been having problems.?/url?

Thanks very much for that, Corax. ?:)?
I've emailed the webmaster and hopefully I'll be able to get access to the site in due course. Sounds like it's definitely worth it.
Cheers,
Kurt.

No problem, glad to help. 🙂 However I just noticed that their site prevents hyperlinking to the image with the webmaster's contact email, but if you got it already that shouldn't be a problem.
