From Austin, TX: We are making a short film. In order to obtain the best actors for certain roles, the film has to be a SAG production per their agents. If the actors are willing to receive zero pay for their time, then are there SAG contracts or written agreements that need to be signed prior to filming?

Yes. There are SAG contracts that need to be signed.
As soon as you check the SAG website you will find out all the details.
