Is that...for real? Despite the fact that it has a lot of "success stories" and testimonials from George Lucas and various big name movie companies, I can't help but feel suspicious. Does anyone know if it's legit and has anyone tried it here?

Any advice on how to get into the biz? (I know that there is no real quick way of doing so since so many people are trying to do that each year...but is there some good advice out there that may push me in the right direction?)

Go to the "search page" and type in Film Connection or Career Connection and see what comes up.

I have...and quite frankly, I did not find anything from other sources (other than the ones listed on the site itself).

I think if everyone knew the answer to that, we'd all be making 100 million dollar movies with a ten percent paycheck.

If you find the answer to that, let me know

It's a marathon, not a sprint (with a few exceptions).

i'm not intersted if the film is $100m or $1000, i want to make the movie, tell the story and i love visual format. To big the money for the film and is sure that someone else wants their finger in how the pie is made!!
I'd rather earn my pay-bills-vouchers doing movies, even as a gaffer to learn the whole trade or handing out the coffee 18 hours a day on set or hang out in the cutting room, than to do some of the many crap jobs i have done in my life for 40 hours a week in order to be able to "do my thing" when i wasnt working.
What would i do with a 10% pay check off a multi million $ movie? i'd finance my next movie so that i wouldnt have to find someone else to come up with the bill and tell what the story should be.
I'd be as happy as a pig in mud making documentaries which earned very little .

Do you mean www.Film-Connection.com ?

I've been tempted on occasion to join. Seems like it would be worth the moeney. The site seems legit and actually like a good idea.

I wonder, though, if it would be easier to start at the bottom, if you live near a studio, and run coffee or something.

If you've got the time and money, then you should give it a shot.

The Word is spreading!

Jeez, and I thought making a good movie was the way to make connections. Keep your money and start blagging your first movie. If it's good then people will want to connect with you.

Wait...why has nobody contacted me yet? Oh yes, my movies stink 🙂 Onwards!!!!

Good luck
