Hi Everyone,
I am trying to promote a film produced by us nation wide as part of a resource pack.
I need to advertise this film myself locally and have cut a 90 sec trailer for this..
What I want to do is email bomb potential clients with the trailer attached to get them to see the quality and style of the work..

Please help with the following...

1. How should I compress the file
to get it small enuf to send via email? I run a PC, adobe premierre pro 1.5 and encore DVD 1.5. Ideally the file will retain quality and be smaller in size.. I have tried qick time amd this looked ruf. #

2. Maybe I should sack that idea and instead mail a link to the web.. I have myspace but when I load up the video it looks ropey, why is this, what suggestions do you have?

Many thanks you guys
xx

Hey

When i was using Sony Vegas i used Windows Media Encoder to compress my videos. A good friend helped me out, have a look at this link from his website that has a full explanation on using the encoder, including a download:

http://www.dpcfilms.com/HowTo/articles/CompressingVideos/index.asp

The article will have you encoding in minutes! If you run into trouble on the setting, send me a message with your problems and i'll talk you through them.

With regard to myspace and youtube, the videos you upload go through a level of compression before they are completed for viewing. The way they stream the bit rate on the videos is at a mega low rate - hense the poor quality. To compare have a look at www.myspace.com/jpcapture and then have a look at a temp site at www.jpcapture.co.uk - compare the videos on both - they are both the same compression and size!!!! Notice a world of different quality difference.

Hope this helps. . .
