I got a few questions about my old camera. I got a Sony DXC-537, most of you camera guru's must know that this is one old broadcasting camera. First question, I had what I think you call a controler or a VTR, where you connect it to the camera and record your footage to a 3/4 tape. Well that device is damaged. I've been looking online and found out that you can get a hi8 version of it, might cost me $900, is there any other way to record my footage something else I can connect.
Last question would be....should I see this cam? I work on short film for practice right now. Maybe I should sell it and get a minidv, 400-500 dollar one? Maybe a JVC GR-D73U, I just don't want to loose the cinematic look I've had in my previous short movies. So what would you guys advise? Thanks in advance.
**EDIT: By the way I'm aware that his camera is 3CCD but still, how much could it cost me getting it set up, maybe I should just go for a minidv and see what I can do on vegas or premiere..maybe giving it a better feel and image. Great website by the way**
