Hi y'all, I'm new here. I am a film student and I was wondering if there are some filmmakers that could answer a "career exploration questionnaire" for me, for a project I am doing for school. It's only 10 questions. Reply or PM me. Thank you!

I'll just leave these here, these are the questions:

1) What are the duties performed during a typical day/week?
2) What type of tasks do you spend most of your time doing?
3) What are the physical and emotional demands of the job?
4) What are the basic qualifications (educational requirements) of this career field?
5) What is a typical advancement path in this career?
6) What kind of work/ internship experience would employers look for?
7) What kind of person would find it difficult to succeed in this career?
8) What is the typical salary range for people in this career just completing school/ training?
9) What advice can you give me to help me become successful in this career field?
10) Where did you receive your training?

In filmmaking there are dozens of jobs. Each person would answer each
question differently because the duries for each job is different.

Because it is for my career exploration, any info, about any aspect of the film industry would be helpful. I'm not sure what I want to do exactly myself, so if I could somebody who edits, or a gaffer, or a director or any position to give me info it would assist my career path. It's all open right now. I'm just looking for info.

Each answer will be different for the editor, the gaffer and the director because
they each do very different things. The duties performed during a typical day/week
are different for the editor than for the director which is different for the gaffer.
The physical and emotional demands of teach job is very different. What employers
look for are different for each job. The typical salary range for people in this
career just completing school/training is different for each job.

I can answer number 9 and 10:

For the first five years explore all the different jobs by volunteering on student
films an no-budget independent film and by making several short film yourself.
Then decide exactly what you love doing and spend the next five years gaining
skill and experience in that job.

I received all my training on the job. I volunteered on student films an no-budget
independent film. I made two/three short films a month starting at age 14.
