Well, i've been writting alot as of late, and decided i want to start production on what i've got. I dont have a camera ... or any equipment as im just starting out.

Can anyone tell me the best equipment i can get for cheap and where i can get it. Money is a major issue, as it always is for everyone, so im wondering if anyone can tell me the best kinds of Cameras i can buy that get good quality and is within a good price range. Websites with more info would be helpful as well.

I want to make this film so i can send it in to see if i can get scholarship money for film school. So any help would be great, thank you in advance.

Actually, i do have another question. I have a friend who is going to Art Center in Pasadena, and he was telling me that there is a way to let ppl know that you are putting a movie into production and many ppl will contact you for acting positions and such to get themselves published, as long as you give them rights to the movie as well. My question is, is there any sites that help out finding ppl in your area, like a forum board type thing?

I don't understand what you mean by actors getting themselves published or a filmmaker giving the actors the rights to the movie. But there are many places to put your notice of auditions. There is "BackStage West" a local casting newspaper, there are dozens of model and actor sites that accept audition notices, there is mandy.com and even craigslist.com.
