What is DVC-Pro and will it fit into a Mini-DV camera, and is it possible to shoot broadcast quality on Mini-DV?

DVCPRO is basically Panasonic's incompatible version of DV. The biggest differences I'm aware of are that they shoot on larger tapes and use 4:1:1 color space in PAL whereas DV uses 4:2:0.
As for 'broadcast quality', it depends on the broadcaster: plenty of DV, DVCAM and DVCPRO footage is broadcast, particularly in news and documentaries.
