I have a Panasonic GS70 (3CCD). And it has the option to shoot progressive. I've had it set to shoot "Progressive automatically" since I got it. (I never thought to change it and recently was messing around with it and saw it)

I was wondering what exactly is the difference between progressive? I'm guessing progressive is 24fps and non-progressive (which I guess would be regular) would be 29.97 since it's a digital camera.

How does progressive look? What's the difference when you get it onto the screen? Physically how does it look? and how does it look different?

I hope this question makes sense

"With a progressive shutter the image is captured in one sweep, as opposed to an interlaced mode where every second line is recorded in one sweep and the remaining lines in the following sweep. With progressive scan the image is razor sharp and can be enlarged and printed, while an interlaced scan can produce an image which appears blurry as if the subject was moving too fast. "
