Yeah, I uses a little sarcasm. Glad you caught it and took my little jab well.
Ender, if you feel not making any movies for a year rather than making 6 to
12 movies during the next year will prepare you to make a "perfect" film in
about a year then that is the path you must take. Every director finds their
own path. I feel the same way as Corax and Vasic. The way you become
good at making movies is by making movies.
When I was your age (actually younger) I was making a short film (super 8)
every month. Like Corax, I made a lot of crap. At the time I believed my
first film would be perfect, too. It wasn't. But I learned and then made another
and another and another.
That was they way I learned to make movies.
But that may not be the path for you to take. Maybe not making any movies
for a year will be the better path for you and your first one will be very good.
So all sarcasm aside, I wish you the best and look forward to seeing the movie
you make in about a year.

For $300 you are limited to something like The Flip.
But if you are looking for used there are three things
that are VERY important when getting a camera:
Three CCDs or CMOS
Manual controls for the iris, shutter, focus and white
balance.
A microphone input.
