Alright i am very frusturated. i just finished editing a 5min short for my first film festival. this is the first time i have used my audio technica AT8035 shotgun mic in production. everything sounded fine in post, playback on my computer is exellent. i then put it on a dvd and all of a sudden the audio (from the mic only not any songs or sound effects) fluctuates between reletivly clear and what i can only descibe as very "muffled". like hearing it from the other side of a thin wall. why is it doing this? does anyone know?
deadline is march 1st, so i have to figure this one out within the week. i have made many other dvds before, and this has never been a problem, only thing thats new is a mic. its not a computer problem eaither, my computer is not slow at all. its brand new. ugh sorry im just stressed, let me know if you can help.

Sounds like the issue is not with your mic but in your post-production somewhere.

There is a good chance that the mic and the songs and/or sound effects are on different tracks and one of your tracks is coming in at a different bit rate or something. i'm just guessing though.

Or possibly a bad disk. Have you tried burning another one?

thanks for the replies guys, i got it fixed heres what happened:
apperrantly my mic requires a higher lever of audio qaulity when i render, so i just picked a larger number on the htz and it solved the problem. sorry for completely losing it, i guess i just wasnt thinking rationally. this solution, however, does not help the fact that i still cant upload any videos i make with the shotgun mic to youtube. the audio (exept for sound effects & music) becomes very quiet. i have tried RJs suggestion of switching tracks for this problem but to no avail. anyone ever had this problem with youtube? im guessing it happens when they convert to flv.
