I have seen listings for dvx100a and dvx100b on amazon.com but when I go to panasonic's website the only thing that they have listed is the dvx100b. I am confused. Does anyone know what the difference is, which one is the newer model or if they are the same thing?
B is the newer model. Old stuff is never sold alongside new stuff by the original manufacturer as it cuts into the sales of the new stuff.
I have a dvx100a and it's a great camera. I'm not sure what is different about the b model.

Thanks for the info.
I know there are a few small differences, but nothing major. They put bigger bumpers on the buttons, and they changed it so that you can use headphones while you're in progressive mode(it used to be you got this echoey sound). For a more complete list, I believe www.cnet.com figured out all of them.

Yeah, there's almost no difference. Here's a direct link from cnet comparing the two: ?url="http://reviews.cnet.com/4504-5_7-0.html?tag=ksrch2_coco&x=35&y=13&id=31568573&id=30790135"?dvx100a vs dvx100b?/url?
I have a dvx100a and it is amazing. We film all of our shorts and our ?url="http://www.takezer0.com"?filmmaking podcast?/url? with it.
