Hi everyone! I am new here and have a few questions to ask. I hope they don't sound dumb. ?:I? Anyway, I have no experience with films or even writing screenplays. I have written stories, and have lots of ideas for movies but that's about it. I have my own corporation and we finally decided we would like to make indie films, but we really don't have the experience...just ideas. My question is, can I find someone to write out the screenplay for me? Also, can I find people to put it all on film? I can most likely do the directing and casting myself, but I would need help with all other aspects. Is film school really the best option (although with my day job it would be difficult for me to attend both time wise and financially)? Can anyone help? Thanks in advance!

film school is not that necessary to be honest. they teach everyone how to make the same movie instead of their own movie. i would suggest reading some books, 'rebel without a crew' by robert rodriguez inparticular.
as for scripting, i may be able to help you with that. what ideas have you got at the moment?

Welcome to the boards. You're questions don't sound dumb at all.

Yes.

Your post gives the impression that ?Blazin? Entertainment, Inc.? is fairly established. Do you have a budget?

If so, then there are thousands of writers who would take on an assignment like this.

I would.

For the right pay.

Again the answer is yes - you can find people to put it all on film. Experienced crews are willing to put in hard work for a good days pay. A good UPM has contact numbers at the ready.

I agree with danofthedead. film school isn?t that important. But first you must take that idea and turn it into a script.

If you?re serious and ?Blazin? Entertainment? is ready to meet my day rate, I?ll send you a list of my produced scripts and a sample of my writing.

Thanks to both of you for the quick and helpful responses. I have e-mailed both of you privately with my ideas just in case there are people lurking around here. No offense to anyone else...just want to be careful. Thanks again!?:D?

1st: film schools do tend to produce cookie-cutter films, but they do offer alot of vital experience, one of which is the reality of disillusion with the industry. Also writers are everywhere! send me an e-mail
