I'm 13, starting to get into film, and i want to get a decent camera. I don't want something too small or cheap like a flip, but I don't want to go spend 1000 bucks on a professional camera until i'm more experienced. So I was wondering if anyone could give me advice on which camera to get? Or if there's a better camera you recommend in that price range.

Once again, i don't need anything super fancy. But I do prefer HD, and I'd like it to be mac compatible. 🙂

and if you need them, here are links to both cameras:

And also, i'm not sure if the Nikon is mac compatible, maybe i'm not reading it right?

Thanks ??)?

With both those options you will need audio gear. Neither has a mic input
so you will need to buy both a mic and an audio recorder. Of the two I would
go with the Sanyo. If you are going to go with a still camera with the video
feature you should find one with an interchangeable lens.

No matter what camera you get make sure you have some money for a good
shotgun mic. Audio is half the experience.
