I'm a student from Bath designing a site for a new production company and am doing some research into what kind of thing independent filmmakers would like to see on this kind of site. This is with regards to layout and content etc.
The site is primarily there to act as an online portfolio for the company, showing off the work they have done and are doing. As the company in question is just starting out it is unlikely that they will be getting any contracts for work, so it?ll mainly be there for its own members, and friends / interested parties, to view. It is also likely that the members will be able to hand the URL to a potential employer instead of a showreel DVD.
Other people who look at the site will likely be those who have come across the company at some stage and want to know more.
The client has requested a forum so that members can communicate with regards to current projects.

Basically I was interested in getting some opinions from people who have had similar experiences or just from people who have any thoughts on the subject. If there are any similar sites to the one I am designing and why you like/dislike them.

Any help you could give would be great.
