Hi. I have a Sony CCD-TRV57 and I am trying to figure out how to capture footage onto my computer. The people at radio shack were no help to me, and it looks like the model has no information at the Sony website.

You will most likely need a firewire or ieee 1394 cable (i think sony calls it i-link). You'll also need a firewire port on your computer. You may be able to get it onto your computer via usb, but I've never done that.

Yea a firewire is the best option and gives top quality footage. Using USB captures but the quality is nowhere near as good
