im fairly new here and im plannin on shootin a short film. i would like to ask for any advice on how to start the process. im thinkin of maybe a 5-10 min. film. all help will be appreciated. thanks

"Fairly new" means different things to different people. Essentially you start the process by writing a script, casting the parts, finding the locations, setting a shooting date and showing up. But I suspect you want more specifics than that, am I right?
Take a look through the threads here for info on cameras, lighting, sound recording, what equipment is needed and how to set up shots. Most of this info is on the "Newbie Questions", "Pre Production" and "Production" forums.
