Hey guys , i would love to get your opinion on my first short film. It is a martial arts film with little action in. It pays homage to asian cinema, anime and popular video games. It is a fictional aco**** on the Ninja. Tell me what you guys think.?:)?

You gotta work on your continuity in your films. The costumes were awesome and the story line was good too. I think the beginning was the best part. You had a little comic scene in there, that was cool too. Im gonna look out for your movies man, but like i said "you gotta work on your continuity". ?;)? and i have one question, what kinda camera did you use?

To be honest it threw me, it pretends to be history but the history is wrong. Wrong history can be funny but this didn't play that way. On the bright side that issue is all in the voice-over so it's easily fixed.

My suggestion would be to have the story about two ninja clans intead of Ninja vs Samurai. Have the Ninja clans fighting to be the top clan in Japan, or in Kyoto or something.

Then again perhaps I'm a stickler who missed the point and you should see what others say.

I'm sorry, I have a large bias on the issue, but YUCK!

If one thing needs to be discontinued it is the amatuer Tarantino's. He is one of the more overrated people in film right now. Please, please, no more.

Also, I hold a deep love for Asian Cinema, particularly Japanese samurai/ninja flicks, and I think nothing is worse then remakes or sad attempts at making them. Please, leave the genre alone until you can do it right. It is one of the only genres which still commands respect.

That's it! You people have stood in my way long enough! I'm going to clown college!

Not that I'm argueing with you Swordofdoom, but which Ninja films command respect? I can name hundreds of Samuraii films (and Yakuza films) but my knowledge of quality Ninja films is pretty slim.

They seem to be a genre ripe for satire and mocking from all I can tell.

Well, its mainly point of view, but you get that in every genre. Every genre produces shite and alot of it.

Mainly, one should look at the best of them. Look at Kurosawa, Okamoto, and Inagaki.
Or recently check out Zatochi.
These directors defined the genre as there movies command much respect. To mock them would simply be wrong, on so many levels.

Arguing! BWAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHHAHAH
EN GARDE! TOUCHE!
pfft...noone argues, they disagree.
