Hello, my name is Laura. I'm a Media Student and am just about to make my first documentary. It is based on bullying. I am currently still in the research stages but we don't really have long on the project as we break up in June. I was just wondering if anyone could give me any advice on making documentaries and filming tips in general really as I have not filmed anything by myself before. Thank you very much, Laura. ?:)?

Is bullying a big problem in the UK? You are the second person on the boards making a movie about it. Check out these threads

I don't have any advice, as I'm in the learning and research stages of making a documentary as well. I just wanted to wish you luck and to ask you to please come back and share your project.
Thats just a little bit funny. What would be even funnier is if the guy who already made the documentary about bullying bullied the new "bullier" out of making their movie.
Bully for you!
Go for it!
Documentaries can be boring if not done right. See if you can't give it a bit of a story line.
For instance, check out the movie Strozek by Werner Herzog. Or Grizzly Man for that matter. Lend some excitment to it.
But is it an informative video about bullying or a true documentary? There is a difference.
That's it! You people have stood in my way long enough! I'm going to clown college!
