Kind of off-topic, but I feel it's related...

I write and compose my own music in my studio, and I have a bunch of it, and have just been releasing it myself through various people and so on. I was thinking lately though, that I'd like to see if any film makers would have interest in using my music somewhere in their films. Question is, how does one go about doing this? Is there some kind of place that distributes music in this manner? I know of "royalty free" music sites, but they all seem to be junk. Anyone have anything to offer?
