"Just Shoot It" and "Film Production Technique" get into the details of shooting and really cover everything you need. They both cover all the bases from Pre-Production to Post. Most film books written by filmmakers talk about the filmmaker themselves. They make for great stories, but they don't teach you how to shoot, etc. If you want the film school education I would go with either of those books. Just Shoot It! also has a great chapter on how successful people manage their time...manage their life...keep focused and get things done. That is worth the price alone. Many of us know how to shoot a film, but few actually do it.
