hi, i need help in making a 3 minute video for university admission into film school. I figured that ive to be creative and show them about myself in the video and not sit in front of the cam and blabber. however, i hope to get some help from you guys and hope to hear some comments and suggestions about how to go about getting it started! thank loads
There was an old Phil Collins video that did that and it worked very nicely. He's just singing the song but the location keeps changing around him, not with special effects, but because they'd shot the video bit by bit throughout a concert tour. You could do the same thing around your town, picking the most interesting locations and angles.

What film school are you applying too?
Just because its a university, I recommend taking a character definining moment for yourself and shooting it as a legitimate short film. Schools will dig the ambition and get a clear idea of who you are.
mind elaborating more about that, like some ways i can go about doing that. hmm, dunno if you know but its a arts design media fac in nanyang technological university in singapore.
