Hi! My name is Andre and I'm a cinema student from Rio de Janeiro, Brazil. First of all, sorry... I dont't speak English very well.

Well... I recently bought a Keystone A-12 camera at eBay and it uses double perforated film, but this film stock is too difficult to find here in Brazil. The local Fujifilm doesn't sell it and Kodak needs 20-30 days to import it.

So, I was wondering if is possible to modify the camera, elimating the "teeth" (sorry, I don't know the name in English) of one side.

I'm able to disassemble the camera and eliminated it. But, do you think that the single perfurated film could run perfectly, since the camera was not made to use it?

Thanks!

Your English is fine. "Teeth" is the correct word.

But I don't know the answer to your questions. If you are able
to change the entire drive system to use single-perf film then
I guess there is no harm in trying.

Actually, there's no need to change the entire drive system.

I will have only to grind the teeth in the top of this "wheel" with the screw in the center, in the picture below.
