I'm planning to make a mockumentary and just have a couple questions.

I'm trying to get that "documentary" feel from a camera. Would just a normal camcorder suffice? I'm making this on a microbudget, I might add.

Also-

talking about sound,

Is a boom mic the only way to isolate voices? How would one work those clip one mics that interviewers put on the interviewee?

Thanks in advance

Use a totally everyday camcorder to get the feel, don't use a tripod if you want the slightly shaky thing but also don't overdo it.

You can try to borrow a "shotgun" mike, or a tie clip mike you simply clip within a foot or so of subject's voice and plug it in to a mike input on the camera (they don't all have inputs, so you could record the sound onto minidisk or directly to a computer alternatively)
