Just wondering how an effect ive just seen is done and if it can be achieved with a budget of virtually nothing. The effect is when every part of the shot moves in slow motion with one exception. For example the James Blunt video for 'You're Beautiful', he moves in slo mo but sings in realtime.
Id greatly appreciate any enlightenment on the subject.

Just an idea...
If you were shooting a music video, you could speed up the playback of the song during shooting, so the actor would be singing/lip-sync faster, while their actions would be recorded at real speed.
Then during post-production, you could slow down the speed of the shot, and sync the singing performance with the audio in real-time.
May or not be what you're looking for.
