Well, first off I guess ive got no real idea on how to get myself started into the Film Industry. Ive got alittle experience with filming/editing on my own, but nowhere near enough to just go out and do it. Ive been looking at alot of schools and have no idea if any of them are above the rest, or even worth it! The ones ive been looking at are:
LA Film School
www.lafilm.com
NY Film School
www.nyfa.com
Seattle Film Institute
www.seattlefilminstitute.com
I have also looked into
Brooks institute of photography
Collumbia College
and realized a 4 year degree is usually a good way to burn money...working is the best way to get in. Any advice you all could offer me would be greatly appreciated. As I am at a crossroads of lost, and hopelessly lost.
Thanks!
Also, any other schools you all have heard of/went to im willing to go gather more info about them aswell.
Do you really have to go to a film school?
i'm asking because you say you have a little experience with filming and editing - which you doubt being all that- but could it be possible to get in as an intern/trainee in a production House/company or Advertisement agency with its own in-house production unit?
Chances are you might learn a whole lot more on the job as opposed to being in a class.plus you could earn yourself some cash.
like you said, 4 years is a good way to burn money while working is the best way to gt it...think about it
