What type of lighting do you use when filming outside interviews. What type of lighting is best for filming people interviewing inside.

Thank you

Exterior: use a nice, white bounce board to fill shadows. If you can, use a large silk to cut the glare of sunlight - but that's not really necessary and might be overkill.

Interior: I use a paper globe (also known as a Chinese Lantern) to light the subject and a bounce board. Depending on the location a little hair light can be very important. and don't forget to throw some light on the back ground.

The minimun kit I suggest is:

2 650w tweenies with stands
2 200w peppers with stands
2 china balls
4 c-stands (or genral light stands)
black wrap and gels
2 bounce boards
gaffers tape

Of course 1 china ball and a couple of clip on scoop lights will do fine.
