Hello all,

I now in a quandary, I can't decide between the JVC or the Panasonic, I realize the Panasonic has 1/4" CCDs which should let in more light, right? The JVC on the other hand is more akin to the Canon GL2, with the exception that it has 2 XLR audio inputs. The cheapest price I could find for the GS400 was about $1300 online. The JVC was like $1900, the lack of XLR inputs on the GS400 don't really bother me, because I'll probably just get a sound box from Beachtek or something.

If anyone has used the JVC or know some who has then please post a response!

Is it that much better than the GS400? Should I save my $600 for something more useful, such as editing equipment, tripods, rigging etc.

Thanks!

If I were you, I would probably go with the cheaper camera and save the money for something else. It really all depends on how much you need the features from the more expensive camera though. Just ask yourself if you can live with a cheaper camera or not.
