I got an Inturnship working on a dv feature as a PA.

Now i got time off work to do this. But doing the inturnship will interfer with the short film im making. The first day is sunday. I need to call the director back 2marrow. What do you think go for the PA job. Or start production on my movie?

If this is your first short, I'd do the PA job then shoot yours. You'll learn a lot from working on someone else's movie, even if it's only how not to screw it up :). Learning from other people's mistakes is a lot cheaper than learning from your own.

Today was the first day of shooting on the film im PA.ing on. Im very glad im doing this. I thought that if i did this then it would just but my film longer on hold. Which it is. But after working only one day i can see that i need to slow down with my film. Why make a bad film really quickly when you can make a great film slowly. So much film is back on hold for the time being.

Yeah, definitely: I've seen a lot of people rush into making their first movie and then regret it when they see the rushes and realise they made a big mistake. On the other hand, it's important not to wait so long that it never gets made!
