Through after school and the summer program, i worked at Downtown Community Television Cneter ?DCTV?. I have the oppurtunity to make another film and i already started the proposal. The problem is that im stuck on the script because im not sure when to get to the point, i also think i havnt written my best because im not sure what resources and euipment are available. I plan on making part of the movie with green screen but im not sure what that involves or what other euipment i'll need. Any advice?
You've obviously got a lot going on! From the way your question is outlined, your the Producer on the project as well as the Writer. And from one writer to another, it's very difficult to write when you've got Production issues to consider as well. My advise is to either focus on Production matters first, then write or vice versa. This will help the creativity to flow, because when you're worried about the business side, you can't be creative. Secondly, I'd like to suggest that you consider getting a Producer to help you resolve some of those issues. Or write as if you have an unlimited budget with no restrictions. Then after you've written you can go in and do your rewrites, making the script more suitable to your budget. This helped me a lot, because it's easier to write without worries, then to write with worries. Good luck!!
