Hey, new on here, I'm interested in making short films and making/edting/doing most other stuff with films. I've got some experience with adobe premier and movie maker and editing to music as i make samplers for tricks (mix of martial arts and gymnastics).

And im taking media studies in sixth form from september, and i have to make a film, now im looking at something martial arts/action/ maybe comedy or horror orientated, me and my friends who will help me by being in the movie etc have martial arts and tricking experience, think what you've seen in the matrix, minus the wires ?:D?

Basically I need help on getting started, writing, brainstorming, location choosing, basically most things, although my dad is a photographer and can help with some stuff, I bascially need to know were to start.

EDIT: yes im starting now, nice and early because I want it to be good, I don't want to half ass it, I think the project is officialy being started in January, after my first media exam, but I'd like it to be good and planned so I don't have to rush to come up with a decent script or locations etc, i'm pretty sure there are no limits on the film, other then what can be done by me, so my budget is next to nothing, but we have access to some stuff, I just need help on thinking what to do to start off etc.
