Hello. I'm not going to release my actual name to you (for security reasons), so you can just call me Lessa.

I am into acting, screen writing, singing, and the arts in general. Ask me to perform something and I'll gladly do it. Also, I am very dedicated to finishing projects that I start and I have excellent organization and directing skills.

I am happy to announce that an independent film will begin production this coming January. I am directing and producing it, along with my older sister.
I've taken many steps to working on the project. As I am a "newbie" to independent filmmaking, even though I've been on many sets and studied how things were carried out, I'm going to list a few steps I've taken to ensure the success of this film.

* Towards the end of this December, the script will be finished, revised, and copywritten.
* I have personally requested the use of the building that I plan to be filming in, which happens to be my antique high school. I should have an answer by the end of this week. If not, I have backup locations.
* Auditions for the cast will begin around January 15. My sister is in charge of casting, and we have a few people who seem like good prospects(several have professional acting experience).
* I've enlisted several large sponsors to donate to our cause and have planned out our budget.
* A generous gentleman has allowed the crew and cast to use his studio equipment which includes cameras, lighting, ect.

I know there are many other things to do before filming begins. If anyone here would kindly tell me if I'm on the right track and suggest things that should be done, please let me know. ?:)? Thank you!

Well, you seem really, really well-organized so far. Next steps would be getting a crew (if you haven't done that already) and, once you've cast, setting up the shooting schedule. I'd also think ahead to postproduction -- where/when/how you're going to do picture editing, sound editing/mixing, etc.
