Everything else I do (editing and whatnot) the crew and I can do fine. When it comes to the scripts however, I'm horrible. I shouldnt be, seeing as I'm advanced in English. I just don't have an idea that could take me places.

I don't know screen play format, so I just write it like a book. I get my points across, stage directions and what not, though I'll have to improv more dialogue when it comes down to it, but I'll manage.

You were my best friend. You were also the best "Drake Johnson: Killing Machine" I could of cast.

Haha that's what I do. Write it like a book or a play (that way you don't worry about syntax or grammar) then afterwards transfer it to screenplay format. For large productions, it's essential to have it in screenplay format for editing, logistics and cameraman reasons, but I can totally sympathize with your problem of having trouble writing it in screenplay format. Sometimes it's too difficult to keep everything in mind when writing in a format with so many rules and whatnot. Good luck!

I'd also recommend picking up a book on screenwriting. There are loads of good ones about and it will represent a good investment. See the filmmaking.net store for starters. ?url?/store?/url?.
