can anyone recommend any good books for someone breaking into directing from script writing... and though the HOW TO ...FOR DUMMY'S series is probably good info, i'm looking for something more in depth- with more references to movies...styles and the like.

try to go to amazon.com or ebay, type "film direct" or something like that,you can see some results and pick some top sellers.
