I am looking into somethings to buy and wanted to know what you guys thought of them(wether they are good thing or not).

everything looks good.. but if you're gonna lay that much coin down for a camera, look into the panasonic ag-dvx100a. it shoots ? 24fps (like film) and typically has gotten the highest reviews...

hey, i use the Sony DCRVX2100 for filming and it works great for me. I recommend it!!! The sony DCRVX1000 is also a good one, even though it older it still has enough quality that most people need. As far as dvd editing goes i also use Encore, its a great program...has a couple of bugs but they are easy to get around...plus they come out with fixes once in a while...
I've been told that the VX2100 is going out of production (replaced by the FX1), so you may get a good deal on one in the near future :).
