Auditions :). Probably lots of auditions before you get a part.

Training is probably a good idea too, but that hasn't stopped people getting acting jobs in the past with no training or experience. If you can put together a good showreel, that's probably more important than having the right pieces of paper.

Working on low-budget movies is another way to get started and get some experience: if you're any good then directors will be calling you to work on their movies, rather than you having to call them. Of course you won't make much money, if any.

I've been dragged in to act several times in low-budget movies when I was just there for a crew job and I'm one of the worst actors I know :).

I also agree with MarkG, the audtions is more important to get new acting career. I don't know much about acting, I'm just director to all my films.
