Does anyone know what, and where to find hollywood, or very advanced software for special effects, ie The expensive ones.
A year or so ago, i heard a radio talkshow host mention that he was looking into advanced voice recognition software, which cost $10 K. Which he saw in a catalogue.
Where does one find something like this. Google has not yeilded any results.
If any can help, that would be great!

There isn't a simple answer to this question as there are hundreds of applications used to create "Hollywood" special effects, and many of these are bespoke programs created by the effects house themselves.
As far as off-the-shelf stuff goes, you could start with looking at:
Discreet Flame and Inferno
Avid Softimage
Autodesk products
Adobe After Effects (when used with pumped-up hardware)
As for voice regonition, this isn't something which has much to do with filmmaking per se, but I suspect there's loads of companies with products in this field.
