Is there anything wrong with shooting on Hi8?
What is the best type of camcorder or cassette or etc to imitate a film look?

Only that it's an analog format, so harder to edit, and the color reproduction and resolution aren't as good as DV. But a good Hi8 camera can still produce a good picture on a TV.
And, heck, 'Blair Witch' made $200 million with a cheap Hi8 camera...

that's all i have to work with as well... i haven't started any projects because i'm not really sure how to edit.
