Hey guys, I was wondering if anyone could help me making a choice. The thing is, filmmaking is my passion but for money reasons I couldn't go into a film school. Right now Im studying a Degree in International Businesses (Second Semester) and I was thinking about quitting and joining one of those 1 year intensive programs in filmmaking, specially the one offered by the London Film Academy. Is it worthy? what can you say? thanx, hope anyone can help me..
"...this is the first day of my life"
Depends. A business degree will give you something to fall back on and may be useful for movie-making too (e.g. if you end up as a producer or producer/director). A film-making degree may not help much if they don't have contacts to get you started after graduating.
If you are going into film making, you must remember that you must have a deep admiration for film, and consideration. Do not just jump in because it sounds fun. It takes a lot of time, money and work. You must be for the film.
Film is a story told with moving pictures...
