hey everyone, im going to be buying a new camera pretty quick here. for a while i was certain i was going to buy a canon xl2, or xl1, but ive become crazy about HD and the HD version of the xl2 runs about 9-10k canadian. and its hard to find a place to buy other than online, and most places are expensive other than ebay. i was looking at the Sony HDR-HC3. it runs around 1500-1700. its hi-def, 16:9 ccd and also has manual focus which i love, still not as munch functionality as the xl series (well duh they are prosumer) what i need help with is first off of course is this a good camera? im going to be shooting short features and possibly documentaries, and perhaps even a full length feature film, as well, should i buy the mini-dv version, dvd or hard drive version of this camera???
