this might sound naive, but i have no idea where to look for grants for film school. i've done some research but it just seems you either have to have some experience in the biz or currently be a undergrad or grad student..or whatever. i applied to the LA film School and think i'll probably be accepted..i just need some clues where to find money besides banks. ?8?
behind every beautiful thing, there's been some kind of pain
Sadly there are very few grants available specificly for film courses. You should investigate general student support options in your state/country.
If you are accepted into a school, then the best place to start is with the school itself. Many schools offer some financial support for their students, and if not, should at least be able to point you in the right direction.

www.lib.msu.edu/harris23/grants/3film.htm - 49k
you could try www.fasfa.ed.gov this a a free application for student financial aid. I think it links to scholarships and grants.
There's all kinds of scholarships and grants out there. Use search engines to find "film scholarships" or "film grants".
