Foreign Songs

I kno all the details one has to go through to get the rights for a music, but i was wondering is it ok if i use a different language song in an american film? is this commonly done?

You need to get permission for that too. It may be a foreign entity instead of an American entity, but someone will control those rights.

In many cases you should be able to clear foreign songs though the licensing body in your country. Check the FAQ for more on getting the rights to use songs in your film.
