ok i have a pretty crap fire wire card and first of i was wondering witch card i should buy and witch is the best one ... i need good quality. also i was thinking of buying a mac with final cut pro i have a pc with adobe premiere at the moment and im doing a film course next year were one of my main focuses will be editing and so i was wondering if i need to buy final cut and a mac coz thats what they will be using .. or weather i can still use premiere.

if that makes sense please help!!!?:)?

If your course is using FCP then thats what you need to be using. The transition from premiere to FCP isn't that hard, they are similar but you might get a little frustrated at the differences at first. Also, I don't know of too many professionals that use premiere. It's all pretty much much avid and final cut so you should learn FCP. If you are getting a mac, dont get anything under a G4.
