Final Cut on a Mac

I'm looking at buying myself a high spec iMAC but I've noticed that the video card that comes with it is not what the recommend for use with Final Cut (and annoyingly there is no way of upgrading in the order). The standard card is
ATI Radeon HD 2600 PRO with 256MB memory

Has anyone used Final Cut or Final Cut express with one of those and have you had much trouble?

Also, I need Final Cut to edit together some short films, should I be ok with Final Cut express? would that be able to 'cut-it'?

Thanks

I've never heard that before.

I started using FCP with version 2 on a 800GHz iMac with
256MB RAM. I cut a dozen music videos, two documentaries
and seven features on that iMac (all the way up to FCP 4.5)
and never had a problem.

I'm currently using a 1.8GHz iMac (non Intel) with 2GB RAM
and Final Cut Studio and have never had a problem.

I've also used FC Express and love it. I saw almost nothing
different.

I would contact the folks at Apple to get their final opinion on the card. I know someone runnng Final Cut Pro on an IMac with that exact card...since it is the standard card on their systems. Also MacWorld is coming up in Janauary so I am waiting to see what they unveil before I buy. I am a PC guy, but I think it's time to step up to the Mac and go with FCP over Premiere and others. Plus I can run windows on the Mac and retain some of my old bad habits.
