ok, thanks for that MarkG!

but are there any books you would recommend that are more about the study of film, filmaking, cinema, TECHNIQUES..

and would they be available at my local library?

if i was to recommend any books i would have to say,

rebel without a crew - not only is it a fantastic read & highly amusing but once you've finished reading it you'll just want to get out there and film something regardless.

the guerilla filmmakers handbook - pretty much everything you need to know about filmmaking and very useful. it also comes with a cd-rom which contains scriptwriting software aswell as contracts for cast, locations, etc....

i would say personally that they are the best 2 books out at the moment.

Is Rebel Without a Crew still worthwhile of one finds Rodriguez's films... juvenile? Not to say I don't enjoy them, just that I think I could do better. If the book is that good though, and if it actually teaches you something, I'd be more than willing to read it.
